Ghana Statement
On Thursday August 9, 2018, the Asian -African Parliamentary Conference, finally came to a successful end with the issuance of a communique, which constitutes the position of the two parliamentary bodies to next year's Tokyo International Conferences on African Development and the G-20 meeting; two events to be hosted by Japan. Another significance of this common position of Asians and African parliamentarians is against the backdrop of the 25th Anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), which will also be held in 2019.

While recently still on my three-week "Independence Anniversary Break", I found time to visit my farm near Dian Town in Giro Township. During my visit, interacted with the workers, who were heavily involved in transplanting high yield varieties of Oil Palm and Rubber.

Leewehpea Administrative District Commissioner Inducted
On Saturday, July 14, 2018, the newly appointed and confirmed Commissioner of Leewehpea Administrative District, Mr. Rancy S. Mengor, was inducted into office by the Statutory Superintendent of Saclepea Statutory District, Hon. Arthur Gonkartee Sahn, at the Flumpa Headquarters of the District. Mr. Sahn performed the task on behalf of the County Administration.

Between 11-13 July 2018, the Health Ministry and the Law Reform Commission, in Collaboration with UNFPA and the Swedish Embassy, hosted a Conference with a cross-section of Liberian Legislators in the Central Liberian City of Gbarnga.
