The Legislature Mourns Three of its Former Colleagues
The month of January in 2019 will go into the history of the Liberian Legislature as one of the months, if not the only month, in which the body has bidded bye to three of its former members in persons of Hons. Benedict Bartuah; Ruth Gibson Ceasar and Dr. Frederick Gbegbe of Nimba, Montserrado and Lofa Counties respectively. They were all members of the erstwhile National Transitional Legislative Assembly (NTLA) during the final Transitional Government, then headed by Hon. Gyude Bryant, that paved the way to democratically held General and Presidential Elections in 2015.

Members of the Younquoi Family continue to be grateful to God for his Grace upon them. First, it was one of their daughters /sisters/nieces, Miss Stanva Younquoi (CKA Yae Younquoi) whose hand was asked into marriage by a gentlemen known as Roland Dagaboi. Both of them are residents of Monrovia.

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, NCCC held a Convocation Exercise for Academic 2017/2018 on its campus in Sanniqurllie, Nimba County, during which several hundreds of students obtained AA Degrees in various fields of study. The ceremony was called to order by the Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Depu Zuo. In so doing, he ordered the President of the College, Dr. Edward Wonkeryor. to read the oath formally opening the ceremony.

On Thursday, January 10, 2018, I visited the Cocopa Rubber Plantation upon the invitation of the CEO of the Nimba Rubber Incorporated (NRI), Mr. Harrison S. Karnwea. The NRI is the current care-taker management team of the plantation plantation pending the ratification of the confession agreement between it and the Government by the Legislature.

University of Liberia Honors It's Fallen Board Chair
Although the DEATH of Dr. Dominique Nmah Tarpeh, the late Board Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University midway into the just ended two-week long graduation exercises, did not disrupt the long awaited national program, it's significance occupied a special place in the mind of authorities of the institution. This is why barely a week following the Convocation, the University and the family of Dr. Dominique Tarpeh, arranged a befitting funeral for him on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Nimba County Community College (NCCC) Establishes New Board of Trustees
On Saturday, November 24, 2018, stakesholdes of NCCC, including the Nimba Caucus; the County Administration and the Administration of the College, converged on the campus of the institution in Sanniquellie to restructure the Board of Trustees in consonance with the Act creating it.

On March 15, 2015, the dedication of the school annex constructed by Hon. Younquoi and the residents of Gbahn Town, Gbannah Chiefdom, took place.
